Funeral Celebrant

Choosing a celebrant for your loved one allows you to provide a meaningful and personalised service. Funeral celebrants work closely with the families involved to  find out the key elements of the person’s life being remembered and celebrated at the funeral. They are also involved in planning the order of service, music, writing the eulogy and creating a meaningful service for your loved one.

Here at Jenny Wren Wellness we understand how important and personal funerals are. And to find the right celebrant for your loved one. Therefore, choosing a celebrant for the service is crucial. Celebrants offering funerals require a sensitivity and thoughtfulness approach to conducting their ceremonies.

Jenny is an independent funeral celebrant and is qualified to host and officiate funeral services. As well as officiating the funeral service itself, she will be involved in planning the order of service, music, writing the eulogy and creating a meaningful service for your loved one. Jenny will create a service that celebrate a your loved one’s life, as well as providing an opportunity to say goodbye.

Jenny conducts non-religious funerals that echo the humanist philosophy. Funeral services can be held at crematoriums and natural burial grounds, as well as celebration of life services at any location you choose. You may even like to celebrate  the life of your loved ones in the great outdoors and join them with nature.

Celebrants will often hold space for families as arrangements are made, providing comfort, support and guidance where needed.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with the person you are trusting on this important day.

 How Do I Work?

Meeting In Person

Customarily, I like to to meet with the family in person to create the most appropriate kind of funeral ceremony. It is in your stories and memories we will add meaning to the life of the person who has died.

Together, we will create a personalised funeral service that includes your wishes and ideas, we will select texts, music, rituals and symbols that reflect the personality of the person. Sometimes, a follow-up meeting may be required.

Ceremony Design

After our first meeting, I will  provide a draft of the script for the funeral service.

We will then work together to refine the details before the service.

When the script is final, we will walk through all elements of the service. This enables you and any other people involved to be well prepared for the day.

The Ceremony

On the day of the funeral service I perform the ceremony and support any family members and friends who want to participate.

Fees

Customised based on individual requirements – reach out to discuss your options.
